Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected on Netflix around Saturday, November 28, 2026, but Sony and Netflix haven't confirmed a date yet. Right now you can rent or buy it on digital (it went on sale October 6), and it isn't included with any streaming subscription.

That November date is an estimate. It comes from the gap Sony films usually take to reach Netflix in the US, which we'll walk through below. We'll update this page the day Netflix confirms.

When is Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Netflix?

Our best guess is late November, with a real chance it slips to late December.

Sony doesn't own a streaming service, so it licenses its new films to Netflix as their first subscription home in the US. That's the "pay-1" window, and Brand New Day falls under it. Netflix and Sony also signed a global version of the deal in January 2026, but that one rolls out by country over the next few years and doesn't change the US picture.

The November 28 estimate is 120 days after the July 31 theatrical opening, which is about how long recent Sony films such as GOAT have taken to get to Netflix, according to tracking by What's on Netflix. The last Spider-Man film from Sony took longer, though. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse opened June 2, 2023, and didn't reach Netflix until October 31, 2023, which is 151 days. The same gap here would put Brand New Day on Netflix around December 29.

So plan on Netflix somewhere between the end of November and the end of December. Netflix posts its full November lineup at the end of October, and that's when we expect to know for sure. Until then, our Netflix page shows what's on the service now. We're treating November 28 strictly as an estimate, whatever some headlines claim.

Can I watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day at home right now?

Yes, if you pay for it. Sony put it on digital on Tuesday, October 6, 67 days after it opened in theaters.

You can rent or buy it on:

  • Prime Video (you don't need a Prime membership)

  • Apple TV

  • Google Play

  • Fandango (formerly Vudu and Fandango at Home)

Our Spider-Man: Brand New Day page lists every store carrying it.

Across all platforms, including Amazon, Apple TV, and Google Play, it currently costs $24.99 to rent and $29.99 to buy. Those are premium prices. A rental gives you 30 days to start watching and 48 hours to finish once you press play.

Editor's Note: If you are paying the premium price to buy or rent Spider-Man: Brand New Day, we recommend using Apple TV or Fandango. Both show the digital bonus features right in their apps. If you prefer to use Google Play, make sure you link your account to Movies Anywhere to ensure you can access those extras.

Is it worth renting now or waiting for Netflix?

If you already pay for Netflix, wait. You're looking at roughly six to twelve weeks, and $25 is a lot for one viewing when the film will be included in your subscription by the holidays.

Rent it now if you don't have Netflix, if you can't stand dodging spoilers until December, or if you're planning a group watch this month.

Buy it only if you'd want it on Netflix and off it. The digital purchase is yours to keep, while the Netflix window doesn't last forever (more on that below).

Is Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Disney+?

Not yet, and it won't be for a while. Disney holds the second streaming window (pay-2) for Sony's films, so Brand New Day will eventually move to Disney+ and Hulu after its Netflix run.

Some early projections put it on Disney+ by April 2027, but they underestimated how long Sony films stay on Netflix. The US Netflix window runs about 18 months: Across the Spider-Verse reached Netflix on October 31, 2023, and moved to Disney+ on May 1, 2025. If Brand New Day lands on Netflix in late November 2026, expect it on Disney+ and Hulu around May 2028.

It isn't on HBO Max, Peacock, Paramount+ or Apple TV's subscription service, and there's no sign it's headed there.

When does the 4K and Blu-ray come out?

Tuesday, December 15, 2026, on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD, with SteelBook editions too. The 4K, Blu-ray and digital versions include outtakes and featurettes on Tom Holland, Jon Bernthal's Punisher, the stunts and the Scorpion effects. The DVD gets only three of the extras, and no version includes deleted scenes, according to Gizmodo.

If you buy digital now, you already have those extras.

Do I need to watch the other Spider-Man movies first?

It helps. Brand New Day picks up after Spider-Man: No Way Home, and it brings in Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner and Jon Bernthal's Punisher. See where to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home.

FAQ

Will Spider-Man: Brand New Day be on Netflix outside the US?

Not on the US schedule. The global Sony and Netflix deal phases in country by country, and What's on Netflix expects places like the UK and Canada to wait much longer.

Will it leave Netflix?

Yes. Sony's US Netflix window lasts about 18 months. After that, the film leaves Netflix and moves to Disney+ and Hulu for its next window.

Does buying it on digital include the bonus features?

Usually, but it depends on the storefront. Sony's digital release carries the same extras as the 4K and Blu-ray, and they're easy to find on Apple TV and Fandango. Google Play often doesn't show extras in its app, so you'll need to link your Google account to Movies Anywhere to watch them.

Is it free with Amazon Prime?

No. Prime members could see it early in theaters on July 29, but on Prime Video it's a paid rental or purchase like everywhere else.
